Namibia has opened its air borders for travelers, while domestic restrictions are gradually being lifted. These are some of the essential questions you may have when planning your visit.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Namibia?

Anyone arriving in Namibia will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test, no older than 72 hours.

Is quarantine required when arriving in Namibia?

There is no requirement to quarantine when arriving in Namibia for tourism unless your PCR test is older than 72 hours (but less than seven days) – supervised quarantine of seven days is then required.

Is public transportation open in Namibia?

Are the restaurants and bars open in Namibia?

Restaurants in Namibia are open, under social distancing requirements. Bars are open for takeout.

Additional Information

All tourists must have a negative Covid-19 test result not older than 72 hours before arriving in Namibia.

Tourists will have to complete a primary surveillance form and a health questionnaire to be submitted with their full travel itinerary on arrival at the airport.

Tourists must have private travel insurance to cover medical care or an unexpected hotel stay.

Only NTB (Namibia Tourism Board) registered accommodation will be considered given they have also been health certified accordingly and comply with safety guidelines and protocols.
