This breath-taking tour focuses on Victoria Falls in Zambia, considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. (You will be required to fly into Victoria Falls from South Africa or Namibia, and your BushTrails tour guide will meet you at the airport.) After visiting Victoria Falls and the surrounding area, we’ll travel west through Botswana and the Chobe National Park. Arrival Day:
Your personal safari guide meets you at the airport and transfers you to our very own Khaya Guesthouse.
Day 1:
Fly to Victoria Falls and meet up with your tour guide. Explore the Victoria Falls area and Victoria Falls. Take part in the Sun Downer Cruise on the Zambezi (activity optional)
Day 2:
Spend the day in the Victoria Falls area taking part in a variety of adventure activities: white water rafting, canoe trips, bungee jumping, gorge swinging, helicopter flips, elephant-back safaris, etc. (activities optional)
Day 3:
Travel west to Kasane and into Botswana and travel through the Chobe Game Reserve where sightings of elephant and sable antelope are possible. Partake in one of the activities at our place of stay, including boat cruises, tiger fishing and scenic flights. (activities optional)
Day 4:
Popa Falls is our next destination followed by a drive through Mahangu Game Reserve – possible sightings include elephant, hippo, buffalo, sable antelope and various other plains game species. The Okavango River is our next destination to take in some tiger fishing, go on a boat cruise or relax by the pool and spa.
Day 5:
Visit a Kavango Living Cultural Museum to better understand the Kavango people. Afterward, we’ll make our way south and arrive at our place of stay. Since we’ve travelled extensively over the last couple of days, take time to relax by the pool or enjoy a hike.
Day 6:
Get ready to tour the Bushman Village and a Living Cultural Museum. Spend half the day with the Bushman learning more about their culture and bush skills. Return to our place of stay.
Day 7:
Etosha National Park is our next destination. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park – possible sightings include elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe and various other plains game. We’ll stay overnight on the eastern border of Etosha National Park.
Day 8:
Get ready for a full-day game drive in Etosha National Park. Okaukuejo is our overnight destination where the floodlit waterhole will no doubt have you hooked for the evening.
Day 9:
Visit a Himba village (an un-Westernized tribe of Namibia) and check out the leather works and crocodile farm in Otjiwarongo. Onward we go to Okonjima, home to the Afri-Cat Foundation. Our afternoon activity is leopard tracking on the 20,000 hectare game reserve. Visit the night hide to view some of Namibia’s nocturnal animals up-close.
Day 10:
Depart on morning activity of cheetah or African wild dog feeding. Travel south to Okahandja and stop to shop and barter for something special at the famous woodcarvers market. Return to Khaya Guesthouse (or Windhoek)
Departure day:
Your guide will see to it that you make it to the airport well in time for your flight back home.

Camping: Fully assisted camping means we take care of everything. We put up the tents and supply you with a stretcher bed and mattress, sleeping bag and pillow, bedside table and LED light. We’ll prepare open-fire meals under the African night sky. After dinner, relax by the fire and listen to the night sounds of Africa. All campsites have superb ablution facilities. Fully-assisted camping is a great way to travel and experience Africa on an authentic level.

Lodging: Enjoy some of the best lodges and guesthouses around that provide real value for your money. We’ve spent years visiting different establishments to ensure we only select the best for our clients. All meals are provided by the lodges and guesthouses unless otherwise indicated on the itinerary.

Luxury: Appreciate cream-of-the-crop accommodations at establishments that give you a second-to-none luxury experience. All meals are provided by the establishments unless otherwise indicated on the itinerary.

Arrival and Departure day Accommodation will be provided at our very own Khaya Guesthouse. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi, satellite television, mini bar and coffee station. The evenings will be spent around the fire pit discussing the adventure to come or safari memories that will last a lifetime.
