Days

Travel south over the Spreetzhoogte Pass and into the Namib Desert where you’ll be treated to spectacular landscapes. Visit Solitaire for some world famous apple pie at Moose McGregor’s Desert Bakery. Arrive at the Desert Lodge in time for lunch and take some time to relax by the pool and absorb your surroundings. Spend the afternoon on a variety of optional activities including hiking trails, E-bike rides and nature drives (Activities Optional).
Get up early and head out before sunrise to view the spectacular contrasting colors of the Namib sand dunes. Alternatively choose to partake in a hot air balloon safari to get a birds eye view of the spectacular desert landscapes (activity optional). Visit Deadvlei and Sossusvlei where you will see some of the highest sand dunes on the planet. Visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the Desert Lodge.
Travel by gravel road through the Namib Desert toward Swakopmund. En-route you visit the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons. Arrive in Swakopmund in time for lunch and take some time to explore this historical town. A selection of adventure activities are on offer including quad biking and sand boarding on the dunes near Swakopmund (choose from a list of other activities — activities are optional). Enjoy a sundowner drink overlooking the Atlantic ocean before dinner at an excellent restaurant in Swakopmund.
An early start gets you to Walvis Bay, Namibia’s main port, in time for a dolphin cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a world heritage site for marine life. Enjoy the boat ride on the calm waters of the lagoon in search of dolphins, whales, sun fish and cape fur seals. A light lunch is served onboard before disembarking at around noon (activity optional). Spend the afternoon exploring the Swakopmund’s many shops, restaurants, cafe’s and museums. Alternatively you can take an afternoon drive into the Namib desert and explore sights such as the Moon Landscape and Dune 7. Enjoy dinner at yet another fantastic Restaurant in Swakopmund.
Travel north west past the Zeila Shipwreck and the highest mountain in Namibia, the Brandberg Mountain, toward the Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and take some time to relax by the swimming pool before heading out into Damaraland on a nature drive in search of the Desert Elephants. End the day with a spectacular mountain top sundowner.
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the vast landscapes of Damaraland. Take a short walk to view some of the best specimens of bushman rock engravings and paintings available in Namibia. You then visit the Petrified Forrest and a Himba village to learn more about the culture of this ancient tribe, it’s like taking a ride in a time machine! Continue north to Etosha National Park and enjoy an afternoon game drive before arriving at your place of stay.
Enjoy the entire day on a game drive in Etosha National Park. You’ll be driving between waterholes and packing in as many wildlife sightings as possible. This will no doubt be one of the favorite parts of your trip. It’s like waking up in the National Geographic Channel! Possible sightings include elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and many other plains game species. Overnight at a lodge on the border of the park.
Take the day to relax by the lodge or enjoy am and pm game drives in Etosha National Park.
Travel south towards Okonjima and the Africat foundation to start off the day. In the afternoon, you’ll go leopard tracking with an open-top game drive vehicle that allows you to get closer to these spectacular cats than you ever thought possible. After dinner, choose to go on a night drive to view some of Africa’s nocturnal animals. (activity optional)
Get up early to visit the Afri-Cat Carnivore Centre and go on a cheetah excursion. Return to the lodge for a delicious brunch. Travel south towards Okahandja and the famous woodcarvers market where you’ll get the opportunity to barter for that something special from Africa to take home with you. Do a short city tour of Windhoek and visit the craft center before enjoying a delicious lunch at the world famous Joe’s Beerhouse. Our driver will transfer you to the airport or your hotel of choice. Final Safari day accommodation is not included, please let us know if you require accommodation, we will happily arrange this for you.
If you require an airport transfer our driver will ensure you make it to the airport well in time for your flight back home.
