Take in some of the most spectacular scenery Namibia has on offer, including the Kalahari and Namib Deserts, the world’s second largest canyon Fish River Canyon, the striking Giants Playground and some of the worlds highest dunes in the Sossusvlei area. You’ll also explore the diamond miner’s ghost town of Kolmanskop, the heavy surf and desert scenery of the Skeleton Coast and the renowned wildlife of the African bush. This is an extensive Namibian safari exploring the depth of diversity in landscapes, culture and creatures.

Namibia
Day 1
Depart from Windhoek and travel south through the spectacular red dunes of the Kalahari desert. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and take some time to relax by the pool. Several activities are on offer by the lodge, guided dune walks, E-bike rides and nature drives (activities optional).
Day 2
Visit the Quiver Tree Forest and Giants Playground. Then travel to the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon on earth. The views of this magnificent wonder of the world will leave you awe struck. We’ll stay overnight near the Fish River Canyon.
Day 3
Travel south to the Orange River, one of the few perennial rivers in Namibia. En-route, we’ll visit the Ai-Ais hot water springs and relax in one of the pools before continuing south. Our next stop includes some WWII historical sites, and then onward to Aus where we take a drive through some of Namibia’s most beautiful landscapes.
Day 4
As we travel west toward the Atlantic, we’ll visit the Wild horses of the Namib. Next, we arrive in Lüderitz and take a short tour of the town before having lunch. Participate in a dolphin cruise in the bay area followed by a picturesque sunset (activity optional). Have dinner at one of the town’s superb restaurants.
Day 5
Explore the once thriving diamond mining community of Kolmanskop. Return to Lüderitz for lunch then enjoy the afternoon with a visit to Diaz Cross and some beautiful coastline scenery. Dinner at yet another fantastic restaurant in Lüderitz.
Day 6
While traveling north towards Sossusvlei, we’ll pass through some spectacular scenery before arriving at the Desert Lodge. Relax by the pool or partake in some of the activities at the lodge, including hiking trails, E-bike rides and nature drives (activity optional)
Day 7
Get up early and head out before sunrise to view the spectacular contrasting colors of the Namib sand dunes. Alternatively choose to partake in a hot air balloon safari to get a birds eye view of the spectacular desert landscapes (activity optional). Visit Deadvlei and Sossusvlei where you will see some of the highest sand dunes on the planet. Visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the Desert Lodge.
Day 8
We travel west through the Namib Desert and arrive in Swakopmund in time for lunch and take some time to explore this historical town. A selection of adventure activities are on offer including quad biking and sand boarding on the dunes near Swakopmund (choose from a list of other activities — activities are optional). Enjoy a sundowner drink overlooking the Atlantic ocean before dinner at an excellent restaurant in Swakopmund.
Day 9
An early start gets us to Walvis Bay, Namibia’s main port, in time for a dolphin cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a world heritage site for marine life. Enjoy the boat ride on the calm waters of the lagoon in search of dolphins, whales, sun fish and cape fur seals. A light lunch is served onboard before disembarking at around noon (activity optional). Spend the afternoon exploring Swakopmund’s many shops, restaurants, cafe’s and museums. Alternatively we take an afternoon drive into the Namib desert and explore sights such as the Moon Landscape and Dune 7. Enjoy dinner at yet another fantastic Restaurant in Swakopmund.
Day 10
We travel north west past the Zeila Shipwreck and the highest mountain in Namibia, the Brandberg Mountain, toward the Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings. We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and take some time to relax by the swimming pool before heading out into Damaraland on a nature drive in search of the desert elephants. We end the day with a spectacular mountain top sundowner.
Day 11
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the vast landscapes of Damaraland. Take a short walk to view some of the best specimens of bushman rock engravings and paintings available in Namibia. We then visit the Petrified Forrest and a Himba village to learn more about the culture of this ancient tribe, it’s like taking a ride in a time machine! Continue north to Etosha National Park and enjoy an afternoon game drive before arriving to our place of stay.
Day 12
Enjoy the entire day on a game drive in Etosha National Park. We’ll be driving between waterholes and packing in as many wildlife sightings as possible. This will no doubt be one of the favorite parts of your trip. It’s like waking up in the National Geographic Channel! Possible sightings include elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and many other plains game species. We overnight at a lodge on the border of the park.
Day 13
We take the day to relax by the lodge or enjoy am and pm game drives in Etosha National Park.
Day 14
We travel south towards Okonjima and the Afri-Cat foundation to start off the day. In the afternoon, we’ll go leopard tracking with an open-top game drive vehicle that allows you to get closer to these spectacular cats than you ever thought possible. After dinner, choose to go on a night drive to view some of Africa’s nocturnal animals (activity optional).
Day 15
We get up early to visit the Afri-Cat Carnivore Centre and go on a cheetah excursion. Return to the lodge for a delicious brunch. Travel south and arrive at Erindi Game Reserve, one of the largest private reserves in Africa. Enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the waterhole before heading out into the reserve on an afternoon game drive. End the day with a sundowner drink overlooking the savannahs of Africa.
Day 16
We get up early for a morning game drive and return to the lodge for brunch. We travel south to Okahandja and the famous woodcarvers market where you’ll get the opportunity to barter for that something special from Africa to take home with you. We do a short city tour of Windhoek and visit the craft center before enjoying a delicious lunch at the world famous Joe’s Beerhouse. Your guide will transfer you to your hotel of choice. Final Safari day accommodation is not included, please let us know if you require accommodation, we will happily arrange this for you.
Departure Day
If you require an airport transfer your guide will ensure you make it to the airport well in time for your flight back home.
